Marriage Moment: June

I should be writing about my sweet-awesome honeymoon in the Bahamas for family to read right now, cleaning up the cookie dough covered counters, or going to bed. However, I had to share a "marriage moment." Yes, I just made that up. From here on out, I will share a "marriage moment" each month. These moments will highlight something beautiful, wonderful, and awesome about marriage. Here's tonight's moment:
Today was a little stressful. I woke up with an eye infection, we were asked on the spot at church to teach the 10 year olds (crazy animal children), and I was experiencing some severe home sickness. Today was a little rough and my attitude wasn't helping much. Considering the said events, I needed chocolate and quick. As I was making cookies in the kitchen, my loving husband swept me into a hug, mid-beat. He took my right hand in his and moved my left hand to his back. The only beat we were dancing to was that of our hearts. He looked me into my swollen eye(s) and told me he loved me. This seemingly simple act caused my eyes to swell with tears as my heart about burst with gratitude for the man who is forever mine. This dance in our little kitchen in northern Virginia, surpassed even our first dance on our wedding day. Whoa, I know this statement is a big one. But not till you've experienced this moment, will you understand. In just the 6 weeks we have been married, my love for Will has transformed to a better and different kind of love I had for him while we were dating. I'm so thankful to have found him. I'm so thankful to know that our love is growing.

Yes I was all up in his grill while taking this picture.
