We're still waiting to receive the rest of the wedding pictures so my face is all I've got to show for now. ^ Photos by portraitsbyandra.com
May 3rd, 2013, I married the sweetest, weirdest, hottest, most thoughtful and sensitive man I've ever met. He's my Sweet Willy and I his Callie Swag (we'll skip that story for now). We decided to have our wedding not even a week after finals week. The idea of spending an entire summer together for the first four months of our marriage sounded better than lemonade on a hot Virginia day. And we were right. Not only are we married, but we work together. What's your job, you ask? We sell pest control. In Virginia. Virginia is hot and humid and sometimes if we're lucky, the streets even smoke. Please contain your jealousy. Despite the outrageously hot, even rainy weather, and the numerous doors being shut in my face each day, I actually (mostly) like my job. And you know what? I'm actually pretty good at it! My first week of selling, I had the most sales in the office of all men. (Insert girly grunt) I have learned so much from selling pest control. I feel blessed to have experienced knocking on hundreds of doors only to meet the people behind them. I have met mean people, sick people who just returned from the hospital, cancer patients clearly going through treatment, people who won't give you the time of day, and "too-busy" people. And then there are those people who offer you a glass of ice water and invite you inside to soak in some glorious AC, even for just a moment. I've never been so impressed by nice people. It is safe to say that I have a new appreciation for nice people. I guess I had never really realized just how special genuinely-nice people, are. I want to be the kind of person who stops what they're doing to be kind to the stranger at their door. What a great characteristic.
The time we sold 9 accounts in one day ^
